We will be hosting a lunch with serial entrepreuneur and video games industry veteran, Dominic Wheatley from London Digital Games. Dominic will discuss the unique EIS opportunity that London Digital Games Offers, answer any questions you have and provide an update on their recent developments.
London Digital Games Limited is an EIS-approved games business, raising £4 million to develop a portfolio of 3-4 video games. A combination of HMRC tax benefits (50%) and a minimum assurance from a video games publishing company (50%) have the effect of reducing the risk of the investment and increasing the potential return. And if one or more of the games becomes a breakout success, the returns could be significant.
Dominic was founder and CEO of Domark (which he subsequently took public by reversing into Eidos Plc), publishers of the enormously successful Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Championship Manager video games.
He was also the first to publish games based upon the Star Wars, Trivial Pursuit, Formula 1 and James Bond franchises, and grew Eidos Plc to become one of the largest international games publishers.
