About Maven Capital Partners

Maven Capital Partners was formed in June 2009 when the senior members of the private equity division of Aberdeen Asset Management plc bought out that business.

Maven is one of the UK's leading private equity and alternative asset managers, with a team of over 45 experienced professionals working on behalf of the Maven VCTs and their shareholders, including more than 25 investment and portfolio executives responsible for sourcing, executing and managing a wide range of private company investments. Maven is also one of the largest and most experienced VCT managers in the UK, operating from a regional office network that provides access to a wide range of VCT qualifying opportunities across the UK regions.

About the Maven VCTs

  • Four established VCT portfolios of between 86 and 109 private and AIM companies, widely diversified by sector, end-user market, and UK regions
  • 13 profitable exits since 2024 (Quorum 8.2x, Novatus* 4.68x, Summize 3.62x-3.77x, MirrorWeb* 3.3x to 4.5x, MIS 3.0x, CB Technology 2.85x, CYSIAM 2.84x-3.57x, WaterBear Education 2.3x, DPP 2.1x-2.5x, Horizon Ceremonies 2.1x-2.4x, GradTouch 1.5x-1.7x, Qikserve 1.3x, Secaro 1.0x**)
  • Three recent exits completed in the last 6 months, including CYSIAM in April, MIS in July and WaterBear in August, all generating returns on cost of between 2.3x and 3.57x for the VCTs
  • History of regular tax-free dividends1 and a target yield of 6%, with the four VCTs delivering a tax-free annual yield of between 6.33% and 7.87%2 in their most recent financial years
  • Rigorous asset selection and active portfolio management - more than 30% of the private companies in the portfolios are already profitable
  • Around 70% of the early stage companies in the portfolios have increased annual revenues by over 100% since Maven's investment (and 34% by over 200%)3

¹Proceeds figure reflects profitable exits in the two years to July 2026. Part of the overall proceeds from the MirrorWeb, Summize and Novatus exits were reinvested into retained equity stakes in those businesses. Historical data should not be taken as any indication or forecast of future realisation activity, investor returns, dividends or yields.

²Extracted from each VCT's most recently published annual report, and calculated using the dividends paid in respect of the most recent full financial year and the NAV per Share at the preceding year end.

³Based on the private companies in the current portfolios in which the VCTs first invested after 2015, and excluding investments made since September 2025 for which it is too early to measure meaningful growth.
